Love u the way you are.

I have to say being a single mom is hard and can feel lonely. Being single in general is lonely. I love being in love. But find I have given it away to those who don't deserve it. So I decided that I need to focus more on those who actually deserve it. Mainly my children. I haven't given up on a soul mate, I am sure that person is out there. Right now tho I need to focus on my kids, family and close friends. I am trading in my dreams for romantic trips to the beach for a beach adventure with my four kids. Cozy candle lit dinners for pizza and movies at home with the kids. Getting dolled up for beauty makeovers and karaoke at home on a Friday nite. And best of all trading I love you for unconditional love that will never fade. Its taken a little time but hearing my kids say things like I am a perfect mom, beautiful, cool, not fat just curvy, funny, so weird and love you the way you are................makes me realize being a single mom isn't really all that bad. Its just what I make of the moments in my life with the ones I love that matter and will be way more satisfying then searching for someone to fill a void.

Jan 28th Road Pirate with egoStall part 1

Ok I have to say this was the highlight so far this year. I love these boys. I was hired to be the photographer for egoStall's trip to So Cal. They recorded, performed and we did few photo shoots. They had me laughing so hard. I took a lot of photos on this trip but I am only gonna post highlights and cram photos on scrapbook pages. This will have to be part one.

Never Apologize

Never apologize for pursuing what makes you happy.

Even if you need to quit your job,

or move across country, always do what you really want.

Never apologize for giving your best in a relationship

that just didn't work out.

Never apologize for being successful.

Only haters want to keep you at their level.

Never apologize for crying.

Wear waterproof mascara and express yourself.

Never apologize for being frugal.

Just because you save your money instead of blowing it

on the latest fashion emergency doesn't mean you're cheap.

Never apologize for being a single mom.

Babies are a blessing.

Never apologize for treating yourself to something special.

Sometimes you have to show yourself some appreciation.

Never apologize for leaving an abusive relationship.

Your safety should always be a priority.

Never apologize for keeping the ring even if wedding bells won't chime.

Never apologize for setting high standards in a relationship.

You know what you can tolerate and what simply gets on your nerves.

Never apologize for saying NO.

Never apologize to your new friends about old friends.

There's a reason she's been your girl from day one.

Never apologize for ordering dessert.

Or more than one dessert.

Never apologize for your taste in clothes.

It's your style

Never apologize for changing your mind

Never apologize for being you!

"ALWAYS KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!!"

Cucumbers: My New Best Friend

I stole this link is below but great tips.

I know what you're thinking, "who wants to read a blog about cucumbers??" but when I read all these facts I was very surprised to discover how useful cucumbers really are!

1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.

2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.

3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.

4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.

5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!

6. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free.. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!

7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.

8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.

9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!

10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown to reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.

11. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.

12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but it won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean.

13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!

Hello I am Monroe

Hello this blog isn't dedicated to just one subject, sorry. I have to many loves in life to just talk about one. I turned the big 3 0 on Jan. 15th. I have to say I have never felt so alive.

Some history on me. I was home-schooled from sixth grade until I graduated at 16.  I got married at 17, had three beautiful girls and divorced at 24. Marriage was not good, husband was a work-a-holic and abusive (and will deny it till he dies). I had a son with a long term boyfriend who I left in Feb 2010. During my life so far I survived being molested, raped, bullied, a very messy divorce and horrible custody battle. I have been thin (100 lbs at 16) to fat (210 lbs). I have owned a home, moved back in with mom, been homeless and lived in apartments. Worked retail, been self-employed and jobless. Right now I am a New Art Media student and a photographer. I use to sing till I got married and lost the passion. But got it back. So I sing to my kids and in the shower for now haha. I love being crafty, artsy and creative. Love a good deal and don't mind used things that can be given new life. I do ramble I have AD/HD so I apologizes and I SUCK at spelling. I have a dirty mind, cuss like a sailor and love a stiff drink once and awhile. Well its late and I could type of random things for hours but I will just leave it here.
